Quince Honey Farm in South Molton is a fantastic day out with plenty of exhibits, outdoor space, a large indoor soft play area, a lovely cafe and the chance for your little ones to become bee keepers for the day.
You can join one of the fantastic members of staff everyday from 3pm for a hands on demonstration in the hive (this is an additional cost on top of admission but is absolutely worth the price)
If your little ones do not like the idea of going into the hive, the staff also give fantastic talks throughout the day where you can still see the bees in action and up close.
On site they have lots of exhibitions and information boards and you can fill in a quiz booklet on the way around making it even more entertaining for the children.
You may also get the opportunity to see honey being made, or to visit the critter cabin where the bug rangers give daily talks and you can hold the critters.
